You can send rejection messages automatically to applicants if you choose not to move them forward in the application process.

Here are the steps you need to follow in order to customize or add a rejection template:

STEP 1: From your Workstream dashboard, select Positions tab, located on the upper left side of your screen.

STEP 2: Select and open the position for which you want to enable the rejection automation feature, then go to Settings.

STEP 3: On the Progress panel at the left select Rejection Template. Then click the box-like icon to customize the email and sms templates.

STEP 4: You may want to edit the following: Template name, Subject a body of your message.

For the message body, you can use merge tags as: 

  • {{applicant_full_name}} - name of the applicant      
  • {{position_name}} - name of the position        
  • {{location_name}} - name of the location        
  • {{company_name}} - name of your company

STEP 5: You can toggle on/off the SMS or Email button, depends if you want to send a rejection message through email, SMS or both.

STEP 6: Click Update once you're done editing the rejection template.

NOTE: You can add another template by clicking on Create Template, then follow steps 4-5.
