Make sure first that either the Email or SMS rejection templates have been added. If you haven’t set them up already head over and check this article.
To set up the rejection automation, follow these steps:
STEP 1: Log in to your Workstream account then go to Positions.
STEP 2: If you have multiple brands, select your brand name. Otherwise, proceed to step 3.
STEP 3: Click the arrow down button next to the brand name to select a location.
STEP 4: Select a position then click the three-dotted line located in the last column.
STEP 5: Select Edit Position.
STEP 6: On the progress panel, select Rejection templates.
STEP 7: Go to the Automation tab.
STEP 8: Select Enable to set up the rule.
STEP 9: Choose the number of hours or days you want the applicant to receive a message after they have been rejected.
STEP 10: Select Save Rule when done with setting up.
NOTE: If you automatically reject applicants after a time limit in your hiring stages, it will retroactively apply the time limit to the first day applicants entered that stage and applicants who have already passed the time limit are automatically rejected.
The SMS are usually being sent using short code 31063. If you wish to leave a contact number that applicants can reply back to, simply select
hr_phone_number from the list of predefined merge tags.
