There are situations where an applicant confirms a schedule for a meeting but it turns out that the time slot is supposed to be for a different location, department, or position. Luckily, there is an easy way to prevent this issue from happening. 

To avoid scheduling conflicts, it is important that while setting up a time slot that you assign it to the location or position and stage that you handle. You can do so in the meeting types to schedule, which you can access by going to the time slot's settings.

Another measure to ensure that a time slot is locked to one position only is through this option in the advanced settings: Make the time slot exclusive to one position. 

This is useful especially if you plan on conducting group interviews because once the first applicant for a specific position selects the time slot, the system will then make it available only for the next applicants for the same position.

Follow these steps to make an existing time slot exclusive to one position:

STEP 1: From your Workstream dashboard, go to Scheduling.

STEP 2: Select the time slot you wish to edit.

STEP 3: Select Edit.

STEP 4: Scroll down to Optional settings.

STEP 5: Enable Make time slot exclusive to one position.

STEP 6: Choose Save.
