The coronavirus has added a new level of precaution when it comes to hiring for employees who interact with the public daily.

Below are two great questions the medical community asks when working with new patients:

  1. Have you traveled out of the country in the past 21 days?

  2. In the last 21 days, have you been in contact with a sick person who has traveled?

Answering yes to these does not mean you should disregard an otherwise potential good hire. It means you should reach out to them and learn about their situation and the active steps they took to be safe.
