Add and manage tax entities (EIN)

With Workstream, you can set up your tax information once and connect it across multiple locations.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Locations linked with a EIN adopt this tax information, which is used to automatically prepare integrations and parts of onboarding (such as I-9 form, W-4 form, background checks, and more).

📌 Access needed: You need the Manage locations permission to add and edit tax information. If you don't have access to this setting, reach out to your admin.

The 'Tax Entities' setting is accessible in admin view. Here you can add new tax entities and link them to different locations.

Add a new tax entity

  1. In Admin View, click the Tax Entities tab.

  2. Then click the Add tax entity box at the top right.

  3. Enter all needed information (tax entity’s name, employer identification number (EIN), and address.

  4. Select Next, then Add tax entity.

Link location(s)

After adding an EIN, you can link it to location(s). This automatically pulls the tax information into your onboarding documents, speeding up the completion of any forms that require EIN details.

  1. In Admin View, click the Tax Entities tab.

  2. Find the Tax entity you want to link location(s), then click the three dot menu (•••).

  3. Select the brand(s) and location(s) you want to link to this tax entity, then click Save.
