This checkbox serves both Employers and Employees to enable them to mark the emergency contact listed as a person to be contacted in the event of any arrest or detainment during employment. This change is driven by CA law, especially for CA-based employers, but Workstream has applied the checkbox across all states.
Employers can help Employees mark this checkbox.
Employees who are starting the new onboarding process will mark their own during onboarding process.
Changes or boxes checked to the emergency contact will be logged in History tab.
