When a document needs more than one signature, you can now control the order in which people sign it. Organize your recipients into signer groups and set the sequence they sign in — so a manager can't sign before the employee, and no one signs out of order. This keeps multi-signer documents accurate and audit-ready, whether you're sending a document ad hoc or as part of onboarding.
📌 Signing order works when you add a document in Team View › Team Management › Documents, and in the Company Documents module when you set up an onboarding process. If you don't see the Signing order checkbox, it isn't available on your account yet.
Set up signing order for a document template
In Team View, go to Team Management › Documents.
Create a new document or edit an existing one.
In the Add signers step, add your signers. They're organized into signer groups: Team member signer and Company signer.
Select the Signing order checkbox, then arrange the groups into the sequence you want them to sign in. Use the drag handle or the up and down arrows next to each group. You need at least two signer groups to turn on signing order.
Map the remaining fields as needed, then save the document.
Assign the document. The first group is notified right away — each following group is only notified once the group before it has finished signing. As the in-product tip puts it: "Signers are notified one at a time, in the order shown above. Each signer is notified only after the previous one completes."
