Assign Payroll setup and management permissions

Control payroll access in Workstream by assigning setup, operations, and management permissions while keeping sensitive data secure.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Workstream Payroll permissions give you control over who can access and manage payroll functions.

Super Admins have full access by default but can assign permissions to others. You can delegate setup tasks like configuring tax entities, managing payroll operations, and handling reports, or grant management access for editing employee pay details and reviewing payroll analytics.

This ensures sensitive information stays secure while empowering the right people to manage payroll effectively.

Assign payroll setup permissions

Super Admins automatically have all these permissions, but they can delegate access to other users as needed.

  • Configure Payroll: Lets users set up tax entities and manage Payroll users for each company

  • Manage Payroll Operations: Grants access to Payroll-related tasks, such as letting users process payroll, view payroll documents, and view and download payroll reports

  • Access to reports, dashboards, and analytics: Lets users access and view payroll reports, dashboards, and analytics. This is important for managers or HR staff who need to track payroll data, analyze trends, and review financial information related to employee compensation
