Now that you've set up E-Verify and passed the quiz, it's time to add the Form I-9 module to your onboarding process. This will let you start onboarding new hires and complete their Form I-9 to verify their eligibility to work.

📌 To make changes, you need the "Edit onboarding processes and documents" permission. If you don't have access, contact your Super Admin.

Go to the Onboarding Processes page in admin view

  1. In admin view, go to Onboarding.

  2. Select Onboarding Processes.

  3. Select the Actions menu ☰ ▾ next to the onboarding process you want to edit, then ✏️ Edit process.

Set up the Form I-9 module

  1. Pass new hire information to Section 1

Turn this on to pre-fill Section 1 of Form I-9 with information from the new hire’s Basic information module.

  2. Who should complete Section 2 and/or fill in Supplement B?

Choose the person or role responsible for completing Section 2 and Supplement B for the new hire. Keep in mind that when employees go through their onboarding process, any user assigned to this onboarding module will be able to take action on it and receive reminder messages regardless of their assigned locations.

Important: Newly assigned Form I-9 reviewers will not have access to review Form I-9 modules for employees onboarded prior to their assignment. They will only be able to review the Form I-9 modules of employees onboarded after they are added as a reviewer. This assignment is not retroactive.

  3. Create E-verify case using Section 1 and Section 2 details

Turn this on to have Workstream act as your E-Verify agent, automatically creating E-Verify cases as new hires start onboarding.

  4. Select Continue ❯.
