Managers can now view, search, filter, and act on all of their team's time off requests in one place on the HR Site, without leaving the page or asking for help.
Below is an overview of what's changed and how to use it.
What's new
✔️ See all pending and resolved requests in one place
✔️ See all pending and resolved requests in one place
A new Time Off Requests page is now available under Team Management on the HR Site.
Pending tab — Search by team member, filter by location and policy, and approve or deny requests inline without opening each one individually.
Resolved tab — See a full history of past requests, with filters for status and reviewer, so you can confirm who approved or denied a request and when.
✔️ Create and approve requests on a team member's behalf
✔️ Create and approve requests on a team member's behalf
Select + Add new on the Time Off Requests page to create a request for an employee and approve it in the same step.
This is helpful for logging time off that was requested outside the app, or for adding entries retroactively.
✔️ Balances update the moment a request is approved
✔️ Balances update the moment a request is approved
Approved requests now update the employee's PTO balance right away, instead of waiting until the request's start date.
If an approved request is later canceled, the balance is automatically reversed.
Note: Payroll notifications aren't affected by this change — payroll still receives time off data at the request's start date, the same as before.
✔️ Get email notifications for new time off requests
✔️ Get email notifications for new time off requests
Managers now receive an email the moment one of their direct reports submits a new time off request, so pending approvals aren't missed and there's no need to check the app proactively.
The email summarizes the request inline — employee name, time off period (dates and total hours), reason, location, policy name, and a balance breakdown showing Current, This request, and Projected balance — so you can decide at a glance.
A Review request button in the email deep-links you straight to the Time Off Requests page with the review modal already open on that specific request, so approving or denying is a single click away.
Note: Auto-approved requests that a manager creates on a team member's behalf do not trigger an email notification.
