Manage payroll in Workstream

Workstream gives you flexibility to pay your team on schedule or issue one-time payments when needed. Use this hub to choose the right payroll workflow.

📌 Access needed: To run payroll and download reports, you need the Payroll management permission enabled. If you don't have access, reach out to your Super Admin.


Run regular payroll

Run regular payroll in Workstream if you’re paying employees on your normal pay schedule.

For the overall process, you will:

  1. Create a payroll draft.

  2. Enter team hours (upload your own file, pull from Workstream, or enter manually).

  3. Review totals for accuracy.

  4. Finalize and submit payroll for processing.


Run off-cycle payroll

Run off-cycle payroll in Workstream if you need to make a one-time payment outside your normal payroll run.

Use this payroll type for:

  • Bonuses or commissions

  • Reimbursements

  • Corrections

  • Final pay for departing employees

The process is similar with running regular payroll, with the exception of choosing the payroll type.


Manage payroll drafts

You can also manage payroll drafts after they’ve been created.
