Update your benefits after a life event

💡 A qualifying life event (QLE) is defined as a significant life change that lets you update your benefits outside of the regular open enrollment period. Common QLEs include events like marriage, childbirth, or losing other health coverage.

To update your benefits, you need to submit a QLE request within a specific timeframe. If you miss the deadline to report a QLE, you might have to wait until the next open enrollment period to make changes. This could leave you or your dependents without coverage. Make sure to submit your request on time to avoid delays.

Follow these steps to submit a QLE:

  1. Access benefits

    1. Tap the ☰ menu in the top-left corner.

    2. Select Benefits, then tap Benefits details.
This will take you to a separate page where you can view and manage your benefits.

  2. Submit a QLE

    1. Choose the event that applies (e.g., Marriage, Birth of a Child, Loss of Coverage).

    2. Enter the date when the qualifying life event occurred or will occur.

    3. Upload the relevant documentation that supports this update.

    4. Review then select Continue.

  3. Proceed with the next steps to fill in the benefit enrollment details and finalize submission. HR will review your request and approve or deny it. You’ll be notified once the review is complete.
