You can manage all your payroll details right from the Workstream US app. This includes updating your personal and payment information, checking your paystubs, and downloading tax forms when they’re ready. You can also choose how you’d like to receive your W-2, either by mail or electronically.
Follow the steps below to keep your payroll information up to date.
Update your personal, payment, and tax information
Need to update your account information? Here’s how to do it:
Access payroll settings
Tap the ☰ menu in the top-left corner.
Tap Payroll, then tap Set up.
From here, you can update your personal details, payment method, and tax withholding.
Set up or update your payment method
Tap Payment Information.
If this is your first time setting up payment, choose how you'd like to get paid:
Direct deposit (recommended)
Cash
Paper check
Set up direct deposit
You'll be asked to authorize Check to handle your payments. Tap Authorize to continue.
Enter your bank account details.
(Optional) Split your direct deposit:
You can divide your pay between up to 7 bank accounts
Choose how much goes into each account using a percentage split or fixed amounts
View and download your paystubs
If you don’t have any paystubs yet, this section will be empty. Once available, the list will display details like the date range, year, and take-home amount.
Tap the ☰ menu in the top-left corner.
Tap Payroll, then tap Paystubs.
Filter by company and month to find the paystub you want.
Tap on a paystub to view:
Gross and net pay
Taxes withheld
YTD totals (tap the YTD button)
Masked bank accounts if multiple payment methods are set
To download the paystub, tap Download.
📌 If your employer uses Workstream’s Time Off feature, you’ll also see a View time off balance button on this page. Tap it to check how many paid or unpaid time off days you have left.
If you don’t see this option, it means your employer hasn’t enabled it.
View and download your tax documents
If you don't have tax forms yet, this section will show as empty. However, if you do have tax forms available, these will provide details such as when it was issued, and the tax form type.
Tap the ☰ menu in the top-left corner.
Tap Payroll, then tap Tax center.
To view and download a tax document, simply tap on it and tap Download.
Choose how you receive your W-2 (paperless recommended)
You can choose to receive your W-2 electronically (paperless) or by paper mail. Electronic delivery is faster and avoids mail delays or loss.
To switch to electronic W-2 delivery:
Tap the ☰ menu in the top-left corner.
Tap Payroll, then tap Set up.
Tap Basic or Personal information.
Scroll to the W-2 delivery preference statement: “I wish to receive paperless W-2 statements and related tax information from my employer.”
Check this box to consent to electronic delivery, then tap Continue.
If you previously chose paper mail, you’ll see a confirmation asking if you want to switch. Tap Switch to electronic delivery.
