Manage your time off and availability in the Workstream US App

Workstream US App - Need a day off or have times you can’t work? You can request time off or block hours you’re unavailable so your manager knows when you’re free.

Request time off

  1. Check your available time off

    1. Open the app, then tap the ☰ menu at the upper-left corner.

    2. Tap Time Off.

    3. You'll find:

      • Paid time off (PTO)

      • Paid sick leave

      • Unpaid time off (if you need time off but have no PTO left)

  2. Request time off

    1. Tap thebutton next to the type of time off you need.

    2. Select the date(s) and number of hours.

    3. Submit your request. Your request will show as Pending until it gets approved.

  3. Track your requests

    1. Scroll down to the History section.

    2. Here, you can see past requests, including:

      • Type of time off

      • Date(s) and hours taken

      • Status (Pending or Approved)

Block times you're not available to work

Let your manager know ahead of time when you can’t work.

📌 Your manager will see when you’re not available and will try to schedule around it. It’s not a guarantee, but it helps them plan and avoid conflicts whenever possible.

  1. Go to General Availability

    1. Open the app, then tap the ☰ menu at the upper-left corner.

    2. Tap Availability, then Edit general availability.

  2. Edit general availability

    1. Tap the day you’re unavailable.

      If you’re available all day, just leave it blank.

    2. Enter the start and end time for when you’re not available (ex: 1 PM – 6 PM if you have school or another job)

    3. Tap OK.
