Start an unscheduled shift

Your manager might ask you to work a shift that wasn’t on your original schedule, like when someone calls in sick or things get unexpectedly busy. These are called unscheduled shifts, and as long as your manager approves the shift to your timesheet, it’ll show up in your Workstream app. You’ll be able to clock in and get paid just like any other shift.

Here's how to clock in to an unscheduled shift:

  1. Tap the ☰ menu at the upper-left corner, then Time Clock.

  2. Tap Start unscheduled shift at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Fill in the shift details:

    1. Location: Select the location you’re working at (if you’re assigned to more than one).

    2. Job: Choose the job you’re working for this shift (if you’re assigned to more than one).

    3. Role: Pick the role you’re performing during this shift (if there are multiple roles set up).
