Review and approve flagged shifts

Sometimes, shifts get flagged when there’s something that needs your attention before they can be approved for payroll. This can happen for several reasons — for example:

  • The employee worked an unscheduled shift

  • They forgot to clock in or out

  • There’s a gap or overlap in their time entries

You’ll need to review and correct these shifts before you can approve them and send them to payroll.

  1. Access Time and Scheduling settings

    1. Go to Team View, then select Time and Scheduling.

    2. Select View timesheets.

    3. If you manage multiple locations, use the location dropdown menu to select the one you want to manage.

    4. Select the Flagged filter to show the flagged shifts.

  2. Correcting flagged time cards

    1. Make the necessary corrections to clear the flag(s).

    2. Select Update to apply the changes.

  3. Select Approve. This will automatically create a payroll draft. Once a timecard is approved, the version history is locked.
