This article helps you track and manage the export files generated from your templates.
It explains what each export file status means (Completed, In Progress, Failed, and Skipped) and how to download or rerun files.
You’ll also learn how to apply filters to sort files by status or template, and how to redownload files with a Completed status.
Export file statuses
Status | Definition |
Completed | The file has been successfully generated with the necessary data. Only files with a Completed status can be downloaded. |
In Progress | The file is currently being generated with the necessary data. |
Failed | The file was unsuccessfully generated with the necessary data. Possible causes include data errors or a system issue.
Note: Rerun the file to regenerate the data. If the error still persists, please contact Support. |
Skipped | While the system was generating the report, there was no relevant data captured on to any export file. If the file is visible, it may be empty. |
View and download your export files
📌 Follow these steps in order for you to view and download your generated export files to be manually added into your downstream system.
Go to Company Settings › Data Exports. In the Export files tab, you'll see a table containing all of the export files.
You can filter the list by choosing a selection of either the Status or the Template used in the drop-downs.
Note: You might see a lot of export files in the table, depending on how your export templates were set up.
To download an export file, click the three-dot menu (•••) and choose Download. A CSV file will be generated.
Note: Only files with a Completed status can be downloaded.
Re-run an export file
💡 If your export file failed to generate, or you reconfigured your export template and you wish to see the new columns in your export files, regardless of when it was originally generated, you can re-run it.
Go to Company Settings › Data Exports. In the Export files tab, look for the export file(s) you wish to re-run.
Note: Only export files with Completed and Failed statuses can be re-run.
Click the three-dot menu (•••) and choose Rerun. Depending on how large the export file(s) are, this might take some time.
Once the system re-runs the report, a notification will appear and the export file(s) will have the updated status. You may now download the report if it returns a Completed status.
