Manage your hiring processes

Updated over a month ago

A hiring process is a step-by-step plan that shows how applicants move from applying to being hired. It tells Workstream what to do at each stage, such as collecting applications, scheduling interviews, or sending rejection emails. You can also automate actions so tasks happen automatically without manual work.

Hiring processes in Workstream have two main parts: Stage Types and Automations.

  • Stage Types: Stage Types are the steps your applicants go through in a hiring process. Each stage has a specific purpose. Common examples include:

    • Collecting applications

    • Scheduling interviews

    • Running background checks

    • Sending forms or assessments

  • Automations: Automations let you set up actions that happen automatically at each stage. This saves time and keeps applicants moving smoothly through the process.

    • Move applicants to the next stage automatically

    • Send rejection emails without manual work

    • Mark applicants as hired after completing the final stage
