Use general chat for team-wide updates (Beta)

Workstream US app for Managers — General chat includes all active team members automatically and updates as staff join or leave.

The General chat keeps communication simple by automatically including all hired team members at a specific location. New hires are added right away, while anyone who leaves is removed, so the group always stays current.


To use General chat:

  1. Open the Workstream US app.

  2. Go to the Chat page. Your app layout may look different because your organization might have different features enabled. Follow the instructions that match what you see:

    • If your app uses a sidebar menu

      1. Tap the ≡ menu icon in the upper-left corner.

      2. Select Chat.

    • If your app has a bottom navigation bar

      1. Tap the Chat icon (💬) at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Go to the General chat.
