Manage your calendar sync settings in Workstream

Learn how to manage your calendar sync settings in Workstream. Display calendars, avoid scheduling conflicts, and sync interviews with Google or Outlook.

Updated this week

Keep your interviews and schedules organized by managing your calendar sync settings in Workstream. Once your Google or Outlook Calendar is connected, you can control which calendars are displayed, avoid conflicts, and choose where your confirmed interviews appear.

To get to your Scheduling settings, select your profile at the top-right corner › Account settingsScheduling.

Displayed Calendars

Think of this like picking which calendars you want to look at inside Workstream. If you check a calendar here (like your personal or team calendar), you’ll see the events from that calendar inside Workstream.

📌 This only shows your busy times to avoid scheduling interviews during those periods. It doesn't change anything on your actual calendar.

Conflict Avoidance

Turn this ON if you want Workstream to block off your time when you’re busy in your other calendars. Only things marked as “Busy” or “Out of Office” count, so if your calendar says you’re free, Workstream will still show you as available.

Sync to Google/Outlook Calendar

Turn this ON if you want your confirmed Workstream interviews to show up in your Google or Outlook calendar, just like any other event.

Synced Calendar

This setting controls which calendar inside your Google or Outlook account will receive the events. Choose where Workstream should send your confirmed interviews:

📌 This only appears if “Sync to Google/Outlook Calendar” is turned ON.

Workstream Calendar (newly created)

Creates a new calendar named Workstream Calendar inside your Google or Outlook account.

Choose this if you want to keep Workstream events separate from your personal or work events.

This is the recommended option, especially for Google users because it makes sure you’ll see your events.

[Email Address] (Google)

Calendar (Outlook)

Sends your Workstream events to your main calendar.

  • For Google: This is the main calendar linked to your connected Gmail address (e.g., companyname@domain.com).

  • For Outlook: This is usually the default calendar called Calendar under My calendars.

If you're using Google, you may not see a new calendar name or your Workstream interviews unless you selected the Workstream Calendar option above.
