Built-in reports are view-only, but you can copy one to use as a starting point. Your copy is saved as a custom report, so you can edit it however you like without changing the original.
📌 Access needed: To create custom reports, your company needs the Data Analytics module, and your role needs the Create and edit custom reports permission. If you don't see Reports under Analytics, contact your Super Admin.
Copy a built-in report
Go to Analytics › Reports.
Select the Built-in reports tab.
Open the built-in report you want to copy.
Select Make a Copy at the top right of the page.
In the Make a copy window, review the report name. It's filled in for you with the original report name, followed by - copy. You can change it to any name up to 254 characters.
Select 'Make a copy' to create the copy.
In the Copy created window, select Open Report.
Your copy opens in the Omni report editor, where you can edit it.
💡 Tip: You can also start from the Custom reports tab. Select + Create new, then select Browse reports to go to the Built-in reports tab.
⚠️ Custom reports are shared with your company but are viewable to users with custom report access. Your report is saved to your company's shared folder.
Omni applies user access to those matching only the EINs/tax entities that specific users are permitted to view.
Edit and publish your copy
Edit your copy the same way you would any custom report. Select fields from the field picker on the left side of the editor to add data. When you're done, select Publish in the editor header.
Your changes stay in a draft until you publish. To learn more, see the Create a custom report from scratch article.
