Sponsor a job posting on Indeed with the Premium plan

Indeed sponsorship — Choose a Standard or Premium plan to give your job posting more visibility on Indeed.

Sponsoring a job posting on Indeed gives it more visibility and brings in more applicants. Indeed Premium sponsorship is available on selected accounts. Where it's on, you can choose between a Standard and a Premium sponsorship plan for each job posting.

Before you start

📌 Access needed: To sponsor a job posting on Indeed, you need the Access sponsored job boards permission. If you don't have access, contact your Super Admin.

  • You need a free (organic) Indeed job posting and a connected Indeed account. If the sponsor switch is locked, the message on screen tells you what is missing. To connect an account, go to Company Settings › Integrations › Indeed.

  • The Premium plan is available on selected accounts. If you don't see it, you'll see a single sponsorship form instead. You can still edit an existing Premium campaign.

⚠️ Set up billing with Indeed first. If billing isn't set up with Indeed, your sponsored campaign won't be activated. You can set it up in your Indeed account's billing settings.

  • Job postings that aren't public can't be published to job boards.

Sponsor a job posting

  1. Switch to Team View. In the left sidebar, under Hiring, select Sourcing Tools.

The Sourcing Tools page with the Sponsored job boards card

  2. On the Sponsored job boards card, select Sponsor a job posting. In the Sponsored job boards window, choose the job posting (and the language, if asked). Then turn on the Indeed Sponsored switch.

💡 Don't see the Indeed Sponsored switch, or is Indeed not available? Learn how in the Connect and sponsor job postings through Indeed article.

  3. In Select Indeed account, pick the Indeed account to sponsor under and select Next.

  4. If Indeed has a budget prediction for the job, an Indeed Sponsorship window appears. It shows how many applicants jobs like yours receive for a given budget and number of days.

    • Select Use $… budget to accept the prediction. The next form is prefilled with it.

    • Select Set my own budget to enter your own amount.

  5. In Publish to Indeed Sponsorship, under Choose a sponsorship plan, pick one plan:

    • Standard: Indeed adjusts your spend to reach a target number of applications, and your job gets standard Sponsored Job placement. If a prediction is available, the card shows it as Indeed prediction.

    • Premium: Indeed paces your budget at its recommended daily rate and adds Premium features such as First Page Boost, Expanded Reach, and Advanced Matching. Select More Detail for a summary. It notes that recommended daily budgets are usually higher than standard, feature availability varies by job, Matched Candidates is available only in your Indeed employer dashboard, and the campaign stops on its end date even if budget remains. While Indeed is preparing a recommendation, you see Getting Indeed estimate.... When it's ready, the card shows Indeed suggestion with a Recommended daily budget per job.

  6. Under Budget type, choose how the budget is spent:

    • One-time: one total budget spent between the start and end dates.

    • Monthly recurring: up to the amount every month until you pause or end the campaign.

  7. Enter the budget in Total budget (one-time) or Monthly budget (recurring). The form flags amounts under $50, and the amount must be a whole number.

    • For Premium, a hint shows the suggested budget (daily rate × number of days). Select Use $… to apply it. For one-time campaigns, the suggestion updates when you change the dates.

    • For Standard, you can select Use recommended budget to return to Indeed's recommendation.

  8. For a one-time campaign, set the Start date and End date. The start date can't be earlier than today, and the end date must be later than the start date. Dates are prefilled from the plan, and the hint under End date says how many days from the start.

  9. For the Standard plan, enter a Target applicant count. It must be at least 10. Once the target is reached, Indeed greatly reduces spend on these jobs and shifts it to other jobs. The Premium plan has no target count.

  10. Select Sponsor on Indeed.

    • Premium: the campaign is created straight away.

    • Standard: if Indeed can estimate performance, you see the estimate first and confirm from there. Otherwise, the campaign is created directly.

If the job posting hasn't been approved yet, a Job posting visibility notice tells you the sponsorship campaign will start once the job posting is approved. A clock icon next to the switch (Pending review of job board guidelines.) may also appear.

Change or stop a campaign

  • Edit: a live sponsored job shows Update Campaign next to the Indeed Sponsored switch. Select it to change the budget, dates or target count. The plan and budget type can't be changed on an existing campaign. If the campaign has already started, its start date is locked. If your Indeed connection has expired, you're asked to reactivate it first.

  • Track results: select Indeed Analytics to see performance on Indeed.

  • Stop: turn off the Indeed Sponsored switch and confirm. The warning says this ends your sponsorship budget and the job posting will only receive organic visibility. You can start a new 30-day budget cycle if you need to sponsor the job again.

Tips

  • 💡 Select Show more about Indeed at the top of the plan window to read how the free-posting integration works and find Indeed's contact links for campaign questions.

  • 💡 If no Premium recommendation appears, you can still pick Premium and type your own budget.

  • 💡 The suggested Premium budget is only a recommendation. The amount you enter is what you're sponsoring with.
